Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sonifide, operated by Brand Breakers (“Sonifide,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service. By using Sonifide you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed), and workspace details.
- Profile & rights data: artist profiles, releases, tracks, metadata, credits, and collaborators.
- Sensitive identifiers you choose to add: IPI/CAE numbers, tax identifiers (such as SSN or EIN), and mailing addresses used for registrations, splits, and tax documents.
- Agreements: contracts, split sheets, and e-signature audit records (including IP address and timestamps of signing events).
- Payment data: processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we keep limited billing status and identifiers needed to manage your subscription.
- Usage data: basic logs and diagnostics needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use it
We use your information to provide and improve the service: to manage your account and workspace, generate registration files and documents, send transactional email, process payments, maintain audit trails, prevent abuse, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Protecting sensitive data
Sensitive identifiers — IPI numbers, tax IDs, home addresses, and signed contracts — are encrypted at rest. We restrict access to such data and do not log it in plain text. As an Illinois-based operation, we handle personal information consistent with applicable Illinois privacy and breach-notification law, and will notify affected users of a qualifying data breach as required.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Service providers such as Stripe (payments), Brevo (transactional email), and our hosting provider, under agreements that limit their use of the data.
- At your direction — for example, sending a split sheet or contract to a collaborator you specify, or publishing an EPK you choose to make public.
- Legal — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
5. Data retention
We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can export your workspace at any time, and you can request deletion of your account.
6. Your choices & rights
- Access & export: view and export your workspace data from within the app.
- Correction: update your profile and account information at any time.
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Email: transactional emails (receipts, signature alerts, security) are part of the service; you can manage your account to control optional communications.
7. Cookies & local storage
Sonifide uses your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in (your session token). We use the minimum necessary to operate the service and do not use third-party advertising trackers.
8. Children
Sonifide is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email, with the “last updated” date revised above.
